As a professional dancer, I obviously dance in the clubs with many different partners. Dancing with other pros is exciting and invigorating and forces me to to keep up with all the advanced patterns and turns while doing impromptu ladies' styling. However, I have found through dancing with beginners, that it forces me to move with perfect technique (clean footwork, leg and hip action, body movement, arm styling, great posture and sharp spotting) to make myself look professional doing the simpler basic steps.

A professional female Salsa dancer recently told me that she would purposely dance with the beginner dancers because it would force her to perfect her following. If she could not follow well, then she had to fine-tune her following so that the man would turn in the exact time and direction that she intended to be lead. Also, she found that the mistakes the beginners would make in following, would sometimes create new and interesting patterns that she would then attempt to re-create with the advanced dancers! Interesting!

Profesyonel bir dansçı olarak elbette pek çok farklı partnerle kulüplerde dans ediyorum. Başka profesyonel dansçılarla dans etmek beni heyecanlandırdığı ve zinde tuttuğu gibi doğaçlama ladies’ styling yaparken ileri seviye hareketleri ve dönüşleri de takip etmeye de zorluyor. Ancak fark ettim ki başlangıç seviyesindeki dansçılarla dans ederken daha basit temel adımları bile yaparken profesyonel görünmek için mükemmel bir teknik (kesin ve net ayak hareketleri, bacak ve kalça hareketleri,vücut hareketleri, kol stylingi, düzgün bir postür ve keskin odaklanma) ile dans ediyorum.

Profesyonel bir kadın Salsa dansçısı yakın zamanda bana artık özellikle başlangıç seviyesindeki dansçılarla dans ettiğini, çünkü bunun kendisinin takip etme yeteneğini mükemmelleştirdiğini söylemişti. Eğer yeterince iyi takip edemiyorsa kendi takibinin ince ayarını, erkeğin kendisini gerektiği gibi yönlendirebilmesi için tam zamanında ve doğru yönde dönmesini sağlayacak şekilde yapıyormuş. Ayrıca başlangıç seviyesindekilerin takip ederken yaptıkları hataları bulur ve zaman zaman bunlardan daha sonra ileri seviyedeki dansçılarla yeniden yaratmaya çalışacağı yeni ve ilginç hareketler çıkarırmış! İlginç!
